3 Levels of Handgun Training

HANDGUN ONE
This course will introduce you to the fundamentals of modern
defensive shooting. You will become familiar with how to properly
and safely handle your handgun. The course begins with a
classroom setting where you will learn about deadly force issues and
what to do if you are involved in a shooting. You will learn about
proper mindset and how to become more situationally aware of your
surroundings.  Out on the range, you will learn the fundamentals of
shooting a handgun from a defensive position. You will be given
tools that you can use for the rest of your life.

The things you will learn include:

  • Classroom Setting with Q&A
  • Ready Position
  • Proper Grip
  • Trigger management
  • Sight Alignment
  • Safe drawing and holstering of weapon
 
  • You will need to bring the following items for the class:
  • Semi-automatic handgun
  • 3 magazines, min
  • Strong side holster (Belt or Paddle-style outside the waistband work
    best)
  • Magazine pouches (Min 2)
  • 300 rounds, min
  • Eye and Ear protection
  • Hydration
  • Range attire (No shorts)

Note: We strongly recommend you bring the equipment or gear you

HANDGUN TWO

HANDGUN THREE
Overview:

  • Present day urban defensive handgun information and tactics
  • Escape and Evade Strategies (S.E.R.E.)
  • Edged weapons defense and deployment discussion, pracap
  • Strategies for effective weapon presentation
  • Tactical shooting from cover
  • Weapon retention techniques
  • Malfunction drills and clearing solutions
  • Dynamic room clearing/CQB – 1-2-Man
  • Multiple threat acquisition and engagement
  • Ground work shooting positions and tactics
  • Shooting and movement
    Barriers and barricades
  • Practical cover positions
    Situational mindset and awareness
  • Threat and risk assessment
  • Gear overview and discussion

 

Live Fire Course Requirements:

  • Intermediate/ Advanced firearms experience (no exceptions)
  • Belt kit/ chest rig/ personal EDC
  • Semi-automatic handgun
  • 3 magazines minimum
  • Strong side holster – OWB or IWB
  • 2 Magazine pouches minimum
  • 500 rounds minimum
  • Eye and Ear protection
  • Range attire (No shorts)
  • Knee and elbow pads (optional)
  • Hydration
  • Personal items
